F.I.S.D. Mission Statement - (print version) The mission of the Fayetteville ISD, as a total community instructional system committed to excellence, is to educate students. Through participation in quality programs, in innovative and challenging educational experiences, and in creative partnerships with the community, students will acquire knowledge and develop self-esteem; moral values, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills which will prepare them to become responsible, productive citizens of the 21st century.

F.I.S.D. Philosophy - (print version) The Fayetteville Independent School District believes in the dignity and worth of each individual and that all students can learn. Therefore, each student must have the opportunity to acquire knowledge, skills, and attitudes enabling her/him to be a productive and responsible citizen of our society. Education must be a social and moral learning process in which every student learns to behave and function in an acceptable manner.  Political enlightenment and partiotism are essential to preserve and enhance our republic form of government.

Every student should be motivated and challenged to develop his/her potential. The Fayetteville Independent School District should be staffed and equipped to offer technical and basic skills. The district should help students develop traits and abilities that are creative and establish a foundation to gain success in preparation for either trades or profession.

It is the responsibility of the community to provide and support facilities, services, and personnel that will assure a good learning environment for the student. Investment in education is an investment in the future, and it should be recognized that an over zeal for economy could fail to supply the money needed to assure a quality education.
